This month, we are excited to feature Steve Fall in our employee spotlight blog! Steve is the Support Team Specialist based in Poole, Dorset, and plays a vital role in overseeing Bluepool, the Device Attributes service, Mohawk data collection, and collaborates with the GSMA to add devices into the Knowledge HUB.
Steve joined WDS-Sicap in July 1999 after graduating from Bournemouth University. His career at the company has been diverse, with roles ranging from Pool Desk Agent to Support Team Specialist. He has gained valuable experience in various capacities, working around the world and honing his skills in different roles.
Steve's passion lies in the ever-changing nature of his role, driven by the rapidly evolving communications landscape. He enjoys delving into new devices and staying abreast of emerging technologies, reflecting on the transition from discussing 2.5G to anticipating the arrival of 6G.
One of Steve's memorable achievements includes spearheading device accreditation for a customer, a project that involved representing them within network test houses. He attributes adaptability as a crucial quality for success in his role and takes pride in the longevity of his career.
When asked for advice for those pursuing a similar career path, Steve emphasizes the importance of adaptability in the face of industry changes. Outside of work, Steve is an active football referee for beach and grass games and a dedicated follower of Endurance Motor racing, including WEC, ALMS, IMSA, and Le Mans.
