International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 is here, and this year’s theme is all about taking bold steps to speed up the journey toward gender equality. Why “Accelerate Action” Matters

At the current rate of progress, the World Economic Forum estimates it will take until 2158—roughly five generations from now—to achieve full gender parity. This sobering statistic underscores how critical it is to pick up the pace. Women’s rights, representation, and opportunities are advancing, but far too slowly. This year’s theme calls on each of us to proactively champion inclusivity and equality, whether in the boardroom or at home, in government or education, in corporate corridors or community projects.
